KLX-505 Special Silicone Sealant for 

Photovoltaic Modules and Other Solar Accessories

KLX-505 Special Sealant for Photovoltaic Modules is a neutral single-component organosilicon sealant. It is a product specially developed for bonding and sealing of photovoltaic modules and has the features of curing at room temperature, fast deep curing speed, non-corrosive to metals and environment-friendly. The flame retardant performance of the product reaches the highest level of UL94-V0 and fully conforms to the requirements of EU ROHS environmental protection directive.

Product Characteristics

1. Fast curing speed: neutral curing at room temperature, fast deep curing speed, cleaning of the surface of the component can be carried out after about 5 hours;

2. Excellent sealing effect: it has excellent adhesion and sealing performance to anodized aluminum, glass, TPT/TPE backing material, PPO/PA material of junction box, and good compatibility with various EVA;

3. Excellent workmanship: Unique rheological system, excellent thixotropy and deformation resistance;

4. Excellent weather resistance: moisture resistance, corrosion resistance, aging resistance, ultraviolet radiation resistance, excellent waterproof performance, and low water vapor permeability;

5. Excellent impact resistance: has the functions of shock resistance, mechanical shock resistance, thermal shock resistance, and excellent electrical insulation;

High and low temperature resistance: within the range of - 50℃ - 225℃, the performance has little change.

6. Excellent yellowing resistance: The colloid is super yellowing resistant. After a high temperature & high humidity test at 85℃, there is no obvious yellowing on the surface of the colloid.

7. High level of environmental protection: non-toxic, pollution-free, solvent-free, corrosion-free, safe and environment friendly

Main Applications

1. It is mainly suitable for the sealing of aluminum frame and plastic frame of solar cell module;

2. Bonding and sealing of junction box and TPT/TPE back film;

3. Bonding and sealing of solar lamps; 

4. It can protect monocrystalline silicon, polycrystalline silicon and amorphous silicon from pollution and oxidation.

Operation & Safety

1. Clean the surface of the substrate thoroughly with appropriate solvents such as alcohol, acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, etc.

2. Do not touch eyes with uncured sealant. In case of contact, rinse with water and contact a doctor.

3. Avoid prolonged contact with the skin, otherwise itching may occur.

Colors

Black, white and grey.

Other colors can also be provided according to customer requirements.

Storage & Validity

Non-dangerous products, please store in a cool and dry place below 27 °C, valid for 12 months.
