General requirements:
The silicone sealant should be applied at a temperature of 4 ° C to 40 ° C, so that a better bonding effect can be obtained.
The vicinity of the surface to be bonded of the cleaned substrate may be attached with a temporary protective tape as necessary.
The remembering action of the sealant should be carried out continuously, so that the glue is uniformly and continuously extruded from the glue gun nozzle in a cylindrical shape, and the diameter of the nozzle should be smaller than the thickness of the injection joint so that the nozzle can enter its half depth. The muzzle should move evenly and slowly to ensure that the interface is filled with sealant to prevent the nozzle from moving too fast to create bubbles or voids.
After the injection is completed, it should be modified immediately. The usual method is to use a tool to force the excess sealant outside the interface to the interface and smooth the surface, so that the glue is in full contact with the surface to be bonded and then remove all temporary Protective tape.
The sealant is not cured within 48 hours after sizing, and the seal joint is not allowed to have a large displacement, otherwise the sealing effect will be affected.
One-component sealant construction procedure
One-component sealants can be extruded directly from plastic or flexible bags using manual or pneumatic applicators, or with a one-component applicator.
Two-component sealant construction procedure
Two-component sealant must be constructed in strict accordance with the following procedures to ensure construction quality.
Two-component sealant should be applied using a two-component glue machine. Manual dispensing is not recommended.
The cure speed of the two-component sealant is determined to determine the ratio between the binder and the curing agent.
Sealant A/B component mixing and sex test butterfly test
Squeeze the mixed glue from the glue machine to the middle of 5 to 10 grams, and fold the paper to flatten the glue.
Open the paper to check the rubber sample. The evenly mixed glue should have no colored stripes. If the glue has different colored stripes, it indicates that the glue is uneven. You should find the cause and solve the problem before using it.
Some specific requirements regarding adhesion, compatibility and contamination testing
Adhesion test: Not less than two pieces of glass or other plates of 20 cm × 20 cm are required for each test.
Compatibility test: All auxiliary materials in contact with the sealant in the assembly design, such as double-sided tape, foam bar, etc., are required to be tested for compatibility. Each material used in the test shall be not less than 100 mm in length.
Contamination test: Three pieces of tested material with a size of 250 mm × 250 mm are required for each test.
At the time of sample delivery, the application form of the Keli Xin Minggu Compatibility Test should be completed at the same time and sent to the company together with the sample.
The usual test period is 35 days. For expedited testing requirements, a simple test report can be issued 7 days after receipt of the material.
